McAfee's ePO agent is a Windows application that communicates with the UNH IT ePO servers at regular intervals to automatically deploy to your computer the latest approved version of McAfee VirsuScan, as well as definition files (DATs), scan engine, extraDATs, hot fixes, policy updates and patches.
When the ePO agent is installed, McAfee VirusScan and any missing updates, patches, scanning engines, and/or virus definitions will automatically install during the next policy enforcement session. Upgrades or updates are transparent to the user, and the update should not affect your work.
As part of the University of New Hampshire security initiative, UNH IT provides the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator agent free of charge to students, facutly and staff.
The McAfee ePO agent is available for the following Windows platforms:
There are separate installers for UNH faculty and staff, and UNH students. Click the appropriate McAfee ePO Agent installer and save to your desktop.
